2023 Kayak Rack Policy
         Kayak Rack Program
The SCHA currently has 92 rack spaces available - 20 at the Whippoorwill beach and 72 at the Manitoba recreation areas. 
​Program highlights:
  • Racks are allocated to participating members, current with their SCHA membership dues,  on a first come-first serve basis. 
  • Currently all rack space is in use and we are maintaining a waiting list.
  • The initial year for a rack space is $100, non-refundable.   Subsequent years are renewable at the annual rate or $10/kayak rack.
  • Upon sale of a property, any rack space owned by that owner will be allocated to the next person on the waiting list.​   Kayak racks do not pass to the new members of the association.
Waiting List Policy
  1. First come First Serve
  2. If top priority person rejects, they stay at top list for subsequent years
  3. Max of 2 Kayaks/owner - people with more are grandfathered
  4. Sale of Property - kayak racks will be allocated to next person on waiting list.
  5. $100 fee for first year rack space. Non refundable when kayak rack is given up
          2023 Kayak Renewal Info
  • Renewals are automatic for 2023. No renewal application or action is required to renew/keep your rack/s.
  • You will be billed for this year fee with your annual membership dues fee. The annual renewal fee remains at $10/kayak space.
  • As soon as you know you will be giving up your kayak space, please send an email to info@SCHMashpee.com. It will help us manage the waiting list more effectively.
  • Failure to pay membership dues and your renewal fee in full by July 11th will result in your kayak space being assigned to the next member on the waiting list.
  • Please fill out a Kayak Reservation Form on our website to request a NEW kayak rack space. 
  • The board is adding 8 new rack spaces at the Metacomet beach area this season.  People on the waiting list will be notified.
