Canty et al vs South Cape Homeowners Inc Lawsuit

The Board would like to inform members of our community about a lawsuit that has been brought against the SCHA. It challenges the SCHA rights to collect dues from residents. SCHA dues are currently used to pay for road maintenance, taxes, utilities, insurance, docks, beach areas and all the other expenses of our association. The details of the lawsuit are contained in the attached PDF files. Actions taken so far by the Board The Board emphasizes that be believe that the SCHA has the right, and obligation, to collect dues from all properties that are part of our community. In response, we have hired an attorney to represent us on this case. Additionally, We have submitted a claim to our Insurance carrier for review by their attorney. We are currently waiting for their recommendations. We will keep you updated on new developments, as they occur, over the next several months. HomeThis is a test
